The Evolution Range was born in 1998 out of niche for quality blends. At the time, there were very few white blends on the market, and Evolution tapped into the niche that would become an important segment of the wine business. As word spread and Evolution made the rounds, it enjoyed extraordinary popularity.
The Evolution Sparkling is a result of winemakers who enjoy having a bit of fun in the winery. Blend Chardonnay, Semillon, Muller Thurgau with Gewurztraminer and Moscato and the result is this fruity yet dry fizzy sparkler. Lively and charming, the Evolution Sparking expresses aromatics of orange blossoms, ripe pear, fresh lychee and tangerine. The mouth feel is slightly creamy, with a light flintiness. Dry on the pallet, it finishes crisp and clean.
About the Producer
The Dundee Hills of Willamette Valley was where Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser chose to plant their first vines in 1971, with nothing more than a hippie dream, at a time when there was no wine industry to speak of in Oregon. The winery remains family owned and operated, with the second generation now at the helm: siblings Alex and Alison Sokol Blosser.
Proud to have been part of developing and shaping Oregon’s now prominent wine industry, the estate has grown to more than 128 acres under cultivation. They work to create wines of world-class quality, with an ambition to make wines that appears simple - easy drinking, relaxing, but in reality, quite complex.
The winery achieved B Corp certification in 2015, producing sustainable and natural wines, which reflect the distinctive flavours of the grapes, soil and climate.
